Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift shed the country influences like they were an extra layer of skin and revealed she was among the best singers/songwriters of her time. Swift could make the occasion personal, or use the moment to benefit. Her talents are evident in some of the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she discovered who she is and find audiences across the globe. Fearless was a huge success worldwide and not just in the United States (where it was certified six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") but in Canada, Australia and the U.K. as well as other nations. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior successes, propelling the singer into superstardom. Over the next three years, her popularity was growing through the years -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) -- as she moved into a realm of pop where her talents were already well-established. It was not long before she changed her strategy in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
